The GVAC EID will raise $80,320.74 annually for projects and services that benefit economic, infrastructure, safety and beautification development of all properties in the GVAC area. The GVAC Board will manage the funds and with ongoing input from GVAC property owners, the GVAC Board will review projects on an annual basis to ensure equitable impact. 2021 projects and services in the GVAC EID boundaries include:

Greater Virginia Avenue Corridor Master Plan

A master plan was created for the district providing a guide for the district to advance marketing, placemaking and infrastructure projects within the EID corridor. The full master plan can be found here. A key outcome of the master plan study was renaming of the business district which is now the Fountain Fletcher District.

Marketing - website

With the roll-out of the new Fountain Fletcher District brand, the GVAC EID supported a new website for property and business owners, fountainfletcher.com

District Maintenance

Provided trash removal & landscaping services for all district property owners & common spaces

Fountain Square Fountains and Plaza Maintenance

A portion of the annual EID budget supports the annual maintenance expenses for the Fountain Square Plaza, as well as the Pioneer and Lady Spray fountains.

Administration

A portion of the GVAC EID budget covers project management and fiscal agency fees.
